Ken C. Arakawa MD, FACP FACR
Ken C. Arakawa, M.D., practices rheumatology in Honolulu, Hilo and Lihue. He earned his medical degree from the University of Hawai'i, Manoa John A. Burns School of Medicine in Honolulu. He was later a resident in internal medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and a fellow in rheumatology in the Clinician and Investigator program at Mayo Clinic.
He was a recipient of the Graduate Travel Award for best resident in Internal Medicine and the Philip S. Hench Award for best fellow in Rheumatology.
Dr. Arakawa is board certified in internal medicine with subspecialty board certification in Rheumatology. He is a member of the American Medical Association and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and American College of Rheumatology. He has published articles on topics in arthritis care. He is currently an Associate Professor at the Medicine for John A. Burns School of Medicine.
Dr. Arakawa has been in practice for over 30 years and provides comprehensive in-house services including X-rays, bone density scan, laboratory, as well as an infusion center for numerous biologics therapy for various autoimmune diseases.
